Anewenergycarfireaccidentshocking!Itisurgenttostrengthenthefiresafetyeducationofelectricvehicles.Itisurgenttostudythefirepreventionandcontroltechnologyofelectricvehicles.Thesafetyalarmhassounded!Withoutsafety,therewillbenofuturefornewenergyvehicles! Newenergyvehiclescaughtfireandwerenoteasytoextinguish.Accordingtoincompletestatistics,fromMaytoAugustthisyear,79spontaneouscombustionaccidentsofnewenergyvehiclesoccurredinthewholecountry,whicharousedusers'greatconcernaboutthesafetyofnewenergyvehicles.  OnSeptember2,NingboFireRescueBranchandGeelyAutomobileResearchInstitutelaunchedafireexperimentofnewenergyvehiclethermalrunawayandafirefightingdrillofnewenergyvehicle.Itmaybeusefultolookatalargesetofdataafteranewenergycarfire. Experiment Experiment1:Whentheheatrunsoutofcontrol,thepeopleinthecarhaveenoughtimetoescape. Intheopenoutdoorexperimentalsite,reporterssawtwotraditionalfuelvehiclesandonenewenergytestvehicleparkedinthreestandardparkingspaces.Adataacquisitionareaissetupat15metersawayfromthetestvehicle,whichisseparatedfromthetestareabysolidwall.Theinformationofthermalrunawaytimeofbatterypack,smokeoccurrencetime,openfireoccurrencetime,smokeenteringcabtimeandflameenteringcabtimearecollectedrespectively. At9:00a.m.,theexperimentofficiallybegan.Bysimulatingthethermalrunawayofbatteriesinnewenergyvehicles,theprocessofbatterypackignitionandthetrendoffirespreadwererecorded,andtheimpactonvehiclesnearparkingspacesandtheoveralltrendofflamespreadwereanalyzed. Theheatertriggersthethermalrunawayofthebatteriesoftheintermediatenewenergytestvehicle,startsthecoreheatingat9:9:52seconds,andsmokesat9:19:33secondsforthefirsttime(thenationalstandardrequiresmorethanfiveminutes,theexperimentshowsthatithasreachednearly10minutes).Thefirstcorethermalrunawayhastwotemperaturedetectorsover1000degreesCelsius,thatis,thefirstandsecondtemperature.ThefailureoftheDegreeDetectortriggeredthethermalrunawayofthefirstcorewithacarbonmonoxidevalueof10,000ppm.Thesecondsmokeoccurredat10:12:15seconds,andthethirdtemperaturedetectorfailedafterexceedingthelimitrangeof1300degreesCelsius,triggeringthesecondcorethermalrunaway.Atthistime,thecarbonmonoxidevaluewassignificantlylowerthanthefirsttriggerpoint.Thereisverylittlesmokeinthecar.Fromtheexperimentalresults,inthecaseofthermalrunaway,driversandpassengersstillhaveenoughtimetoescape. Experiment2:Fireextinguishingpositionisveryimportantafternewenergyvehicleisonfire. Externalfireignitedvehicles,photographedandrecordedthetrendofflamespread,analyzedtheimpactofthebatterybytheflameandthesurroundingvehicles.Real-timemonitoringofthevehiclecombustionprocessafterthefire,observingthetimeofflameandsmokeenteringthecab,andrecordingthetemperaturechangesandtheconcentrationchangesoftoxicgases(CO)invariouspartsofthevehiclecombustionprocess. At13:40,theexperimentbegan.At13:44:30,smokeenteredthecabin.At1401:29seconds,therearcameraofthevehicleshowedthatthefireenteredthepassengercompartment.Intheexperiment,thetimefromignitionofthefirebasintothermalrunawayofthebatterywas40minutes.Thedetectorswereburnedout.Alargeamountofsmokeenteredtheholecabburnedbythefirefromtherearofthevehicle,andthenalargenumberofflamesspreadtothecockpit.Theflamesexpandedandthewholevehicleburned.Theheavyrainonthespotdidnotstop,butitdidnotaffectthefire.Thesoundofexplosioncouldbeheardconstantly.Thepungentsmokewasdiffuse.Thefirstoneappearedwastheleftrearwheel.Thentherightrearwheelandtherightexperimentalvehiclewereignitedandignited. Accordingtotheburningcharacteristicsofnewenergyvehicles,firefightersrefertofieldrescue.Afirefighterwearinganinsulatedsuitholdsadetectortodetectthetemperatureandleakageofelectricityatalltimes.Fourfirefighterscooldownthroughfour-pointwaterguns.Twofirefightersinsertthebottomsprinklerfromthefrontofthevehicletocarryoutthebottombyusingtheself-developedbottomsprinklerofthebrigade.Otherfirefightersusevehicleshifterstoremoveadjacentvehiclesandexpandtherescuespace.Twofirefightersinsertbottomsprinklersfromleftandrightsidesrespectively.Thefiresituationisquicklycontrolled.[ExpertInterpretation] Afterdiscoveringtheunexplainedsmokeofthenewenergyvehicle,itisnecessarytopulloverquickly,turnoffthepower,getoffthevehicleanddialtherescuetelephone.Keepinmindthatyoushouldneverstartorenterthevehicleuntilyouhaveidentifiedthesourceofthesmoke. Ifthebatteriesofnewenergyvehiclesareonfire,theymuststopimmediatelyandgetoffandstayaway.Atthistime,itisnolongerimportanttoextinguishthefire,becausethebatterymayexplodeinalargerfiresituation.Itisnecessarytokeepasafedistanceanddialthefirealarmtelephone. [Specialreminder] Fourobjectiveshavebeenachievedthroughthisexperimentanddrill: Oneistoimprovetheleveloffirepreventionofnewenergyvehicles,improvethesafetyperformanceofnewenergyvehicles'batteries,masterthetimeofsmokeignitionofbatteries,andsaveenoughtimeforpassengerstoescape. Secondly,thefirerescuecapabilityshouldbeimproved,andresearchshouldbecarriedoutontheproblemsofbreakingdownandrescuingpeople,choosingtherightjetandthebestjetwaterlevel,andeffectivelyandaccuratelyextinguishingfireinthec
